Clearing Lives through Evaluation, Assessment, Referral & Support
I’ve been a truck driver for over a decade, and losing my CDL felt like losing my identity. At first, I was overwhelmed by the process, but working with a DOT-qualified SAP changed everything. The steps were clear, the expectations were fair, and I felt supported the entire way. Not only did I return to duty, but I also gained a better understanding of what was holding me back—both on and off the road.
After testing positive during a routine screening, I was pulled from a big construction project and couldn’t operate equipment until I completed the SAP process. I was frustrated and embarrassed, but going through the evaluation and follow-up gave me a new sense of control. The SAP helped me look at the bigger picture and build healthier habits. I returned to work stronger, more focused, and with a new appreciation for my career and safety.
I didn’t drive for my job, but I still fell under DOT regulations due to the safety-sensitive work I do. After a violation, I had to go through the SAP process to keep my position. Honestly, I expected it to be difficult, but it turned out to be a really helpful experience. It not only got me back to work, but it also helped me reflect on patterns that were holding me back from being my best—at work and in life.
